I build products end to end: web, mobile, and the backend behind them.

I'm Udit Swaroopa, a senior software engineer in Bengaluru with nearly six years of shipping. I write React and Svelte for the web, Flutter and Swift for mobile, and Node.js, Supabase and AWS underneath, then take it all the way to production.

One rendering engine for web, iOS and Android

Senior Software Engineer

Mongoose's app platform renders the same product on the web and on both mobile platforms. I architect and build the rendering engine underneath it and keep the three surfaces behaving the same way, including WCAG accessibility compliance.

I also own delivery: CI/CD pipelines, iOS and Android signing and releases, and the code reviews and mentoring that keep the codebase healthy.

WorldTradeX: a B2B trade marketplace

SDE2

Owned both production apps on WorldTradeX, the buyer and the seller: payments, orders, inventory, real-time notifications, search, recommendations, analytics and checkout.

The work was the architecture under them. Both apps sat on one domain so a trade stayed a single fact, the APIs behind it were on AWS, and GraphQL let each app ask for its own view of that fact. Admin, backend, tests and releases moved in the same pipeline.

A multi-wallet, multi-chain app

SDE1

NFTs lived in separate wallets on separate chains, so nobody could see one collection, and a token could be sold but not leased. I shipped the multi-chain portfolio on Flutter, then went below the phone: embedded Flutter on an in-house frame, and a processor-level enclave that casts a token you own or lease without taking the key.

BlockFrameNFT was later acquired by TokenFrame.

Rescuing WowTalent's legacy codebase, then making it fast

Frontend Developer

Rebuilt a hard-to-change codebase around SOLID and clear patterns, introduced TDD and automated tests, and set up CI/CD so releases stopped being a gamble.

The bigger win was on the media side: video playback was janking and blocking the UI thread under load, so I moved decoding and buffering work onto Dart isolates to keep the main thread free, and reworked the playback pipeline's buffering strategy to cut stutter on mid-range Android devices. That, plus the modernized codebase, is what let the app scale to its download and DAU numbers without the crash and ANR rate climbing with it.

I also owned the migration off MongoDB onto PostgreSQL on AWS, while the app kept shipping.

About

Nearly six years in, most of what I've shipped has been rescuing systems that were struggling under their own weight: a video pipeline that janked on mid-range phones, a marketplace app juggling payments and inventory in real time, a rendering engine that has to behave the same way on web, iOS and Android.

The common thread is going underneath the UI to where things actually break: isolates and buffering strategies, API contracts, signing and release pipelines, the architecture that decides whether a feature takes a day or a week to add.

I work across whichever layer the problem needs, web, mobile or backend, rather than staying in one lane.

Currently

Building a cross-platform rendering engine at Mongoose AI.
